The Lennox Longboarders held their
September Club round at Lennox Main
Beach on Sunday, 13 September, with
14 members fronting up to surf and
18 members in attendance.
Surfers were greeted with some
sizeable waves, with sets reaching
3–5 foot. A very high tide, a slight
bump on the surface and offshore
winds until around 9.30am made for

challenging but rewarding conditions,
followed by a light onshore breeze.
Spring sunshine rounded out a great
morning at the beach.
Standouts for the round were Greg
Gover, who took out the Firsts, and
Will Petrie, who impressed with some
outstanding manoeuvres.
The Club thanked Terry Kay for
manning the BBQ, Boothy for tallying,
John Glassington and Ben Ross for
their continued judging, and Craig
Leete for capturing the action in the
water.
