August 9th 2026 Comp Report
The day started off a lot bigger than most anticipated with a cleanish increase from the previous Afternoon. Almost head high on the sets and definitely straighter, the swell was a bit inconsistent but “definitely competitive”.
We only had 12 surfing but with a lot of enthusiasm, so we set up 3 heats of 4 for the first round culminating with 5 heats of three and one of 5 in the final round. The dreaded northerly stated kicking in for the last 40 minutes or so with us finishing around 11.00am.

Firsts: 1st. Gary Burden, 2nd Matt Watts Kilgour, 3rd Will Petrie
Seconds: 1st Deak Cook, 2nd Andrew Thomas, 3rd James Cousins
Thirds/Fourths: 1st Jemma Osmond 2nd Stu James, 3rd John Glassington,
4th Jai Petrie, 5th Gary Alford.
This was Gary Burden’s last competition for Lennox Longboarders as he’s moving very soon to the Arrawarra area. Thanks for being a great club member Gary and also for all the great boards you’ve made for the club and its members.
