May 2010 club round The extensive sandbanks fronting Lennox beach breaks at the moment proved to be a real challenge on the Longboarders most recent round. A solid 1.5m swell was grinding along the shallow sandbanks, providing a heavy workout to paddle out and punchy down the line surfing. Notably, there was some excellent surfing by Paul Hicks after a long layoff, Forfar Petrie and Callum Gover got amongst some pretty good rights as well. Mothers Day was celebrated with chicken and champagne for our maternal members. The Fishy Fishy voucher was won by Damien Shanaghan and the Mi Thai voucher by Steve O’Neill.
